The Photographer

Hi, I’m Mike Carrizales, the photographer behind Pixels by Mike Photography.

I’m a proud husband and a dad of three, and I call Parker, Colorado home. Living in Colorado allows me to work in some incredible settings, from wide-open plains to mountain locations that require planning, flexibility, and a willingness to hike to get the shot. I am comfortable working in outdoor and mountain environments and enjoy the challenge of capturing meaningful moments in places that matter to my clients.

My photography journey began in high school and college. It grew naturally from a creative outlet into a business in 2009, as friends and families trusted me to document their most important milestones. Since then, I have photographed over 200 weddings and more than 300 portrait sessions. Each one has reinforced the importance of preparation, clear communication, and staying calm when timelines are tight or conditions change.

My approach blends natural light, a photojournalistic perspective, and confident direction. Most people are not sure how to pose, especially during family group photos or wedding portraits, and that is where I excel. I move groups efficiently, provide clear guidance, and pay close attention to details such as spacing, posture, and minor adjustments that elevate the final image. This allows sessions to stay on track while creating polished, meaningful photographs.
